The natural flash of labradorite can include a wide variety of colors such a golds and oranges, blues and greens, and even more rare colors such as purples and silvers. The layering of within these feldspars creates the effect and patterning seen within. The base color of the stone is often grey, brown, or black and sometimes contains an iridescent-like shimmer called labradorescence. While some only contain the flash of a single color others can contain a number of colors swirled and/or layered together.
